If you are arriving the day prior to the conference and are wondering what you can do, have no fear. You can join us for fun afternoon on the golf course at River Oaks Golf Club. Plan to meet at the club house no later than 11:00 am. Tee time is expected to be approximately 1 PM. If interested, please indicate during the registration and you will be contacted and provided more details.

Day 1 – September 22

  • Fire Investigation Techniques
  • Lunch is on your own
  • Testing conducted at the end of the day

Today’s class covers understanding fire investigation techniques. Enjoy a presentation by JS Held discussing how we conduct fire investigations in accordance with NPFA 921.

Day 2 – September 23

  • Arc Surveying, Overcurrent Protection, & Test Equipment used in Electrical Examinations
  • Lunch provided at the conference
  • Testing conducted at the end of the day
  • Hospitality room in the evening at the hotel

Today’s class will focus on electrical aspects of fire investigation. Enjoy a fun filled day with Bishop Forensics and learn about arc surveying and what an arc map is. You will also learn about circuit breakers and fuses and how that might limit or allow arc damage and overheating. You will also learn about radiography (x-rays) and how they can be used to assist with an investigation.

Day 3 – September 24

  • RV Fire Investigation 101
  • A Case Study of Interviews Relating to Arson Investigation
  • Lunch is on your own
  • Testing conducted at the end of the day

In today’s morning classes we will hear from Tri Fire Consultants to learn everything you need to know about investigating RV fires. In the afternoon, retired FBI Agent Sam Jeffrey will present a case studies on interviews related to arson investigations.
